A capsule collection celebrating sisterhood: between two women, two entrepreneurs, two mothers, two generations.

Alessandra Salimbene will be 50 years old in 2025. He has been involved in marketing and communication in the retail optical industry for 29 years, with an unconditional passion for eyewear. She is a champion of independent optics and has lived a nonlinear life of adventure, travel, research and projects. He had always dreamed of creating an eyewear collection that started with an iconic shape and declined in an explosion of colors.

Lara D’Alpaos is 40 years old and grew up in eyewear and design. First in the family business, then following the career path of his father Angelo. An architecture graduate from Venice with a strong political commitment, she has been designing glasses full of color and vitality for 15 years, produced strictly in Italy and distributed worldwide.

Lara and Alessandra met at a fair and instantly recognized each other. Two seemingly distant worlds, but united by a common vision: secular values, humanism, independence and an idea of femininity that does not give up play, seduction and beauty.

In 2024 they signed a partnership to grow the Lara D’ Eyewear brand and start telling their universe.

#sisineyewear is the result of this encounter: a capsule collection of 4 optical frame models, each declined in 2 color combinations. Different but related shapes, softer and squarer evolutions of the iconic cat-eye, expressions of two distinct women but fueled by the same energy.

Mido 2025 marks the debut of the collection in a limited edition of 100 numbered pieces, accompanied by a personalized couvette.

Designed by Lara D’Alpaos based on Alessandra‘s concept, #sisineyewear tells about an idea of contemporary, everyday femininity. The colors speak of them and their worldview.
